Name Wavestar Wavecrest | Wavepaw | Wavekit Name explanation: Wave - the spot of blue that houses itself on the inside of her eye Crest - her frothy white coat Gender: She-cat Age: 39 moons Clan: Riverclan Rank: Leader Personality: Riverclan. The loyal, the brave, the bold, the daring. If there was a "perfect" clan perhaps you best look in this direction for it. Wavestar may not be the last of the missing puzzle pieces but she sure looks as if she could fit. The intensity of this she-cat is something that never seems to falter in all aspects of her personality. If something is to be done, do it once and make sure it never has to be done again. Fix the issue before it's ever labeled a problem. Determined and unwavering are qualities well worth the mouthful to describe this she. She's hasty but doesn't seem to miss a step. If there's a downfall to this she-cat it's taking a backseat and letting others get their say in. But don't pin her as the selfish ignorant type. Her ears are all for listening to the problems of others and often times she'll gladly drop what she's doing for the sake of another. However her caring attitude attributes towards a stressful situation with understanding herself. Bottling up the emotions she often feels can sometimes lead to a blowup or a breakdown. Stay clear of the destructive path and don't catch her in the moment as she's not one to hold back. She's ruthless with his emotions. Often times she could find himself with the role of a Shadowclan cat and fair better then here in Riverclan. But her soft heart and motherly nature throws her into the category where loyalty and bravery stand true.
Description: Wavestar's beauty won't be hidden away. It's hard to hide away a she-cat with snow white fur. Her fur covers a muscled bodice that seems to be fairly average amongst Riverclan. Wavestar has an easy to care for build, and is a highly active cat. Her limbs are at an even distribution and normality of a cat. Though she tends to be a bit taller and leaner then most cats she seems among the average. Her fur is of medium length and seems to repel water when it's applied to it. Lucky for her it's not fluffy so she keeps the sleek and slender look. She takes after her mother's white coat and her father's build. Her eyes are a striking color palette. They add to her unique look as the stunning yellow transforms into a teal before darkening to a deep blue on the inside. Wavestar was given her name for the very reasoning of her eyes, the blue for the waves of the water that swirl on the inside.
History: There's quite an odd story behind this Riverclan cat. You think loyalty when you hear the name of the clan however we see that's not such the case. Moon was a loyal cat, and in fact was the deputy's daughter. However the pure white she found herself deeply caught up in a fatal spell of love. Rupture was a tom who had been caught in the clan and held prisoner for a set amount of time. Moon was assigned to care for him and well what happens when you pair that up...well kits. Rupture was released before long however Moon would forever be affected. She had four kits, though all four were not long lasted. Foam died while he was young, as all kits cannot be protected from hungry flying birds. Wave however lasted through all his years. She grew quickly along with her remaining siblings. They became apprentices, like all kits do, and she trained her hardest to accomplish what she could. She had a reputation to fix, as her mother had ruined their name and her grandfather, the deputy had to undergo the pressure of having a disloyal daughter. Wave quickly adapted to the best of her abilities and pushed her mother away. She doesn't feel her family ties well and would like to ignore them all. Out of apprenticeship and into being a warrior.. The night of sitting vigil with her siblings their mother went missing. The clan was quick to label her as deceased and go on with their life. Wave was given an apprentice at an early age and as she finished his first apprentice she was quickly given another as the leader was getting low on lives and old in age. It wasn't long before the leader died, and Wave's grandfather became leader. Perhaps it's called playing favorites, and perhaps it was trying to keep the family blood in the power, but Wave was appointed deputy. Her brother Graywater was furious and often times they seemed to quarrel over who truly was supposed to have the spot. It wasn't long before the arguments wore out on old Whitestar. While out on a patrol, Wavecrest and her brother Graywater found themselves arguing as usual. Graywater stalked off and never was seen again. Getting back to camp, the news was broke to Whitestar and Wave found herself off on her own. By the time the sun broke, Whitestar was dead...and Wavecrest found herself at the top...as Wavestar.
IC example: A scary time. A scary place. Perhaps to one cat but to another it was a completely different ball game. The perfect time. The perfect place. Perhaps to one cat but to another it was a completely different ball game. A time. A place. To this cat that's exactly that it was. This journey was meaningless to him. Surprising? No. The shecat had undergone such confusion and chaos in her life that there was no right or wrong way to feel anymore. Emotions were best left behind and nowhere near the playing field. She had learned that at an early age. It seemed that was the first lesson learned in her family blood line. It was also plainly stated that her family was a bunch of knuckle-heads who had no idea what they were doing. The only family member left alive, with a known position, was her sister Dovesong. She was perhaps the only family member she could stand...she was glad she was indeed the one left to bicker with. Although her father, a rogue and her traitor of a brother were somewhere in the dark forest. If there was any malicious thoughts coursing through this she-cat's veins they truly involved her own flesh and blood. Her pale nose was cooled by a whisper of Starclan's breath. Her many hued eyes caressed the land before her, surveying every movement and action. Though the witching hour had fallen upon the land like a dark curtain, the ghostly orb illuminated the landscape. The she-cat's achromatic fur lit up like a firefly might underneath the moon's light touch. It was the journey that many had taken, and through this journey many had fallen...and few succeeded. It wasn't getting there and getting back that required time and effort, but the epoch that ensued. Paws were placed in a quick fashion, weaving around tangled roots and shrubs that might obscure her destined path.
Although, wasting time might be in the best interest. Nonsense. Why waste time? Be proactive, be hasty, but don't mess up. Wavecrest continued on. Family thoughts plagued her mind...but only because of her grandfather. Whitestar. What no cat ever understood, was why the old tom took his own life. But when many looked at it, they only felt sorry for Wavecrest, with no family but her lone sister. Or they hated the very blood that now led their clan. Wavecrest had been shaped and molded for the deputy position as soon as she was made a warrior. Pushed into the role or mentor with an apprentice that she didn't want. However what Wavecrest found was that she preferred helping others, she preferred this to anything else she had done. It took her mind off things, and while her own problems had seemed to vanish in her problem solving planner, she didn't seem to mind. When Whitestar had given the position to her, her brother Graywater was furious and knew favorites had been played. But what Wavecrest didn't understand, was that when Graywater went missing...Whitestar took his life. It was as if he knew that all was spiraling downward...and perhaps it was. Perhaps that's why it was all placed into his paws. It was now Wavecrest's problem to deal with...and for some reason...she wasn't worried one bit.
Stopping momentarily the she let her haunches drop as her tail flicked impatiently on the damp ground. Shaking her cranium she let her jaws part, ivories glimmered lightly as the moonlight reflected off the saliva that still moistened them. Bring a front paw up to her parted jaws she let her tongue wipe over the furred appendage. Swiping it over her swiveling receivers, she pushed himself off the cold ground...continuing on her way. Reaching the entrance to the pool the she-cat gathered her thoughts. Surely there were not many that could give her the lives he needed to continue on her destined path. Her mother was dead, and she wanted nothing from her...she didn't belong in Starclan...betraying the clan the way she did. Whitestar would be there, her grandfather...and perhaps other leaders. Her younger sister Foamkit, that had never had a chance to grow. Other warriors and apprentices, elders, and old leaders of Riverclan would of course be there...and perhaps it was best she didn't know them on a personal level. Wavecrest found herself letting her head turn to get one last look at the moon...it was the last time she would see it as the deputy. The last time she would see it without being under constant pressure with cats of her clan looking to her to protect them, to care for them, to lead them in the metaphorical path to Starclan. Her chest rose and fell slowly, emitting a sigh from her maw as she did so. Her paws carried her to her destiny with one though on her mind. So this is what it felt like...being at the top. Lonely and cold...you were on your own.
