She is naturaly curious, but is quick on learning. Shadekit is a very shy kit when you first meet her; however, she tends to open up quickly. She doesn't easily trusts though, and due to that, she doesn't take betrayl well at all.
When time calls for it, Shadekit can be very fierce when she wants to be, she is already in love with play fighting. If you betray her in anyway, then watch out, even though she maybe a kit, she is very devious, and she knows it. Shadekit is very cunning, one of her attibutes that she likes to use to her advantage. Shadekit likes to spent her kit days like an actual kit, so she usually is seen playing around, or sometimes even found out of the camp. With Shadekit, you never really know what she is thinking or what she is going to do next. She's unpredictable.
Description: Shadekit has a black pelt, with a blue hue to it. It reminds many of the shade, thus her name. Her eyes are a beautiful silver-grey color, perhaps even a very light blue color. Hands down, her eyes are the most noticable feature of her. She may be young, but it is obvious she will grow into a beautiful she-cat one day. Shadekit is small in size, and not because she is a kit. She is just a little bit smaller than an average sized kit should be at her age.
Her body is lean, almost made for running. Her paws are a tad bit larger than what they should be, but it gives her more balance, as in she won't be so easily knocked over. Her tail is longer than a short tail, but shorter than a long tail; though it is more on the long side. Her pelt is longer than a short haired pelt, but shorter than a long haired pelt; though it is more on the shorter haired pelt side.
History: Shadekit is a normal, curious kit. Her mother had died during her birth; so she is cared for by another queen. Her father, Wolfheart, is the deputy of ShadowClan; so Shadekit is expected to be much like her father, a very valuable asset to the clan. Shadekit was always a shy little kit, especially towards older she-cats, for some reason unknown. Wolfheart thinks it is because she never knew her mother, Darkstream, so she never really knew the real love of a queen.
Originally, Shadekit had two littermates, one a tom and the other a she-cat. The tom was Barkkit; for he seemed to be the loudest of the three. The she-cat was Mousekit, for she seemed to be the quietest. Shadekit loved her littermates dearly, as dearly as she loved her unknown mother and Wolfheart. The three did everything together; they got in trouble together, and they even got sick together. However, the one thing they didn't do together, was die. Mousekit died first, she had a very serious greencough; and her body couldn't handle it. Barkkit and Shadekit stayed side by side from then on. Promising to never leave each other. That promise was soon broken however, when Barkkit had snuck out without her. It was leafbare; and he wanted to find food for Hollydapple and Shadekit. He knew the clan was hungry, but his mind was set on his littermate.
He had returned with nothing; but he had caught the attention of an adult fox; a hungry, adult fox. He was close enough to camp that his frighten yowl got the attention of the sleeping warriors; and they rushed out to help the frightened kit. Shadekit knew her brother's yowl as if it were her own. She tired to get out of the nursery, but Hollydapple wouldn't even let her get close to the entrance of the den. Wolfheart had ran back in, carrying Barkkit in his jaws; bringing him to the preparing medicine cat. Barkkit lasted only a moon after the attack. Shadekit then turned to Wolfheart, the only kin she had left in the clan; her father was the most important thing to her. Shadekit lost her trust then; she lost her ability to let other cats in. Though she opens up to them, she never lets anyone close to her. She always think that they will end up leaving her, end up breaking promises, like Darkstream, Mousekit and Barkkit had.
IC example: The sun was out, and ShadowClan was up; everything was just like every other day. Warriors come in and out to hunt or do a patrol. There was nothingg special that happened, it was all so boring. Shadekit sighed and looked at the camp entrance. Another patrol came in, their jaws full of prey. She layed her head on her paws, watching as some of the younger apprentices went to the fresh-kill pile; she wanted to know what it was like to eat fresh-kill. Seeing as she was only a moon old, the queen that took care of her, Hollydapple, thought that she was not yet ready for fresh-kill yet. In a way, she wasn't; her teeth weren't fully developed yet.
Shadekit's ear pricked as she scented a beloved, well-known scent. She was one moon old, but that did not mean she couldn't recognize her father by scent. He had walked into camp, a thrush, mouse and a plump squirrel hanging from his powerful jaws. Shadekit squealed in delight and hurried out of the nursery, stumbling over her paws and bumping into warriors and apprentices. As soon as Wolfheart set his prey down, Shadekit pounced on him, not even making the great warrior take a small step back. Wolfheart chuckled as he lowered his head and licked her between the ears; affectionate like a father, yet rough like a warrior. Shadekit didn't mind, she knew that her father had trouble being gentle; it just wasn't in his nature.
"Daddy, I'm going to be a big, strong warrior; just like you and mama!" Shadekit cried excitedly, earning a chuckle from her father and from the other warriors who heard her. It wasn't as if they were laughing at her, it was the fact that such a small kit, who could even walk without stumbling, had declared that she'd become a warrior like the ShadowClan deputy. Wolfheart; now that was a warrior to be reckoned with. Shadekit was proud of her father, he was the deputy of her clan. Who wouldn't be proud.
She snuggled against her father as he lay down to eat; the difference in size was amazing. Shadekit had gotten her size from her mother, Darkstream, who was more of a smaller sized cat. Wolfheart, however, was a very large cat, larger than many in the clan in fact. He was muscular and his strength was amazing, to Shadekit, it seemed a if her father was from StarClan. He was just so powerful.
Shadekit looked up at her father once more; he was talking to another warrior about organizing a border patrol; it seemed as if one of the borders was troublesome. "Daddy, can I come too?!" to say Shadekit was excited would be an understatement. The small she-cat kit was jumping on her paws, albeit she fell almost everyother time, and her tail was swishing with excitement. Wolfheart didn't chuckle this time, his eyes held a serious quality to them. That only meant one thing, when he was serious around Shadekit; and that one thing was there was going to be trouble, big trouble.
"I'm sorry, Shadekit, but you have to go back to Hollydapple now." With that said, Wolfheart turned and bounded away, towards the entrance where many warriors and even some of the senior apprentices waited. Shadekit was smart enough to know that it only meant a battle for the borders would occur; and she prayed to StarClan that Wolfheart was going to be alright.
She always prayed to StarClan for Wolfheart, always. Because he was the only thing she knew; he was the only thing she had left.
